With another outstanding performance at the 3A NIAA Regional Track Meet both Boys and Grils Cross Country Teams Qualified for the State Tournaments slated for 11/9/2019 in Reno Nevada. Christian Franklin repeated as Regional Champion as was awarded the “#1 Bib” !!!!!
During last week’s game vs. Western the Lady Viking Girls Volleyball Team took time out to recognize the alarming statistic that; 4 out of 5 of our Native women are affected by violence today. The U.S Department of Justice found that American Indian women face murder rates that are more than 10 times the national average.

Congratulations go out to our Senior Award winners from last night Xzavier Maheia being Awarded the Marine Corps Semper Fidelis recognition in Athletic Excellence, as well as Aidan White and Isabella Davis Being named The Male and Female Student-Athletes of the Year.
Congrats to Aidan White Qualifying for the State Swim Meet for the 4th Straight year. In Carson City he will be competing in the 100 Backstroke and the Butterfly. Also in Track Congrats to the Boys and Girls 4X800 Relay Teams both qualifying for the state track meet. Congrats to James Harden for Qualifying
All Vikings who are interested in supporting the Valley High School Student Athletes, are cordially invited to the Valley Athletic Organization meeting. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 8th, at 6 pm in the Main Office at Valley High School. All Families are welcome.

Valley Athletics will no longer allow Outside Food or Drinks (including water) as well as Large Backpacks, Bookbags, Duffle Bags, Gym Bags, Oversized Purses into games with paid admission. That includes Football, Volleyball, Wrestling, and Basketball. All Patrons arriving with Outside Food, Drinks, or Bags will be denied entrance.
Valley High School Fall Athletics Parent Night will be held on August 16th at 5pm in the Main Gymnasium. This meeting is required for any Parent who has a Student-Athlete Participating in Valley Athletics this Fall.

Congrats to the Class of 2018 four out of the five Valedictorians honored were Student-Athletes. Our Salutatorian was recognized by Governor Sandavol for her State Championship in Bowling. Also, Congrats to Gabbie Morales and Anias Brewington for being named Female and Male Student- Athlete of the Year.
Sophmore and second-year wrestler John Baloyt Place 2nd at the Sunrise Regional Tournament this weekend. Other notables were Xzavier Maheia, and Joseph Valencia who both place 4th one match away from qualifying. Baloyt will be in action this Friday, February 9th at the Orleans Arena, wrestling begins at 9 am.

All prospective spring athletes must complete registration through http://registermyathlete.com/schools/. Then purchase an Athletic Packet from the Athletic Office for a fee of $20 at the school bank or online through registermyathlete.com. Once the Athletic Packet and online registration are complete the prospective athlete will be eligible to participate provided that he/she academically qualify.
